Service № ix — The Operating Plan
An ad here, a website refresh there, a nephew posting on Instagram — that’s how most contractors spend marketing money, and why most of it evaporates. Strategy is the plan that connects every piece so each one makes the others work harder.
The Mechanism № i
Every service on this site is a component. Strategy is the schematic — which components, in what order, measured how, and against what math.
The math comes first
Before a dollar moves: what’s your average ticket, close rate, capacity, and margin? Those four numbers decide what a lead is allowed to cost — and which channels can profitably produce it. Marketing without this math is gambling with extra steps.
Sequence beats simultaneous
Doing everything at once burns cash; doing things in the right order compounds. Capture the demand that exists, then create more, then build the equity — the sequence depends on your trade, season, and capacity. Getting it right is half the return.
One system, not six vendors
The ad, the landing page, the follow-up text, the review ask — when four vendors own four pieces, the seams leak leads. One connected plan, tracked in one dashboard, means every handoff actually happens.
The channel mix is per-trade
Emergency trades live on search. Transformation trades feast on social. High-ticket installs need education and time. Your mix isn’t your neighbor’s — strategy is choosing where your specific dollars work hardest.
Capacity-aware growth
More leads than you can answer is money on fire. Strategy paces acquisition to what your crew can actually book, staff, and deliver — then scales spend when capacity scales. Growth that outruns operations isn’t growth; it’s churn.
Measured, reviewed, adjusted
Every month: what did we spend, what did it produce, what changes. In Sonar, in plain English. Strategy isn’t a document — it’s a loop. The plan gets smarter every cycle.

The Process № iii
Diagnose
Business model, current marketing, past attempts, capacity — the full picture before any recommendation.
Design
The math, the channel sequence, the 90-day plan — reviewed with you until it’s yours, not ours.
Deploy
The pieces launch in order, each wired into Sonar from day one.
Iterate
Monthly loop: read results, cut waste, feed winners, update the plan. Forever.
Proof № iv
Strategy isn’t an upsell we bolt on — it’s the operating system every Orozco engagement already runs on: math first, sequenced channels, Sonar tracking, monthly loops. The standalone service is for owners who want the plan and the accountability at full depth.
Our rule: no fabricated proof, ever. Every number we ever show you comes tracked, timestamped, and attributable — or it doesn’t get shown. Most agencies show you screenshots. We show you the dashboard.
Questions № v
It’s consulting with consequences. The plan comes with numbers you can audit and a system that executes it — not a PDF that dies in your inbox. And because we execute the plan too, we eat our own recommendations.
Small budgets need it most — a $1,500/month budget can’t afford a wrong channel, a $15,000 one can. Strategy at your size is mostly deciding what NOT to do yet, which is the cheapest decision you’ll ever buy.
Totally fine — every service on this site works standalone, and the strategy thinking is baked into how we run each one anyway. The standalone strategy engagement is for owners juggling multiple channels or multiple vendors who need one connected picture.
Most agencies’ strategy deck is a sales document for their own services. Ours starts from your unit economics and has told owners to delay hiring us for certain services until the math worked. The plan serves the business, not the invoice.
